These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website peptidesx.uk (the “Website”) and the purchase of any products from PeptidesX Ltd (“PeptidesX”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By browsing the Website, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or place an order.
Please read these Terms carefully. They contain important information about your rights and obligations, including the strict research-use-only basis on which all products are supplied, and limitations on our liability.
1. Definitions
In these Terms:
- “Buyer”, “you” or “your” means the person or organisation placing an order or using the Website.
- “Products” means the research peptides and related items offered for sale on the Website.
- “Order” means a request submitted by you to purchase Products.
- “Contract” means the legally binding agreement between you and us for the sale and purchase of Products, formed in accordance with Clause 5.
- “Research Use Only” or “RUO” means use restricted to in-vitro laboratory and scientific research by suitably qualified professionals, and expressly excludes any human or veterinary application.

PeptidesX is a registered company in the United Kingdom supplying high-quality research peptides for laboratory and scientific research. Every batch is supported by quality documentation, including HPLC testing and a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA).

3. Research Use Only – Critical Notice
All Products supplied by PeptidesX are intended strictly for laboratory and scientific research purposes only.
Products are not for:
- human consumption or human use of any kind;
- medical, clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic use;
- veterinary or animal use;
- use as a food, cosmetic, dietary supplement, or ingredient in any of the above.
Products are not medicines and have not been evaluated or approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) or any other regulatory body for use in humans or animals. No statement on the Website should be read as a claim that any Product prevents, treats, cures or diagnoses any condition.
By placing an Order you represent and warrant that:
- you are acquiring the Products solely for lawful in-vitro research;
- you are a qualified professional, or acting on behalf of an organisation, competent to handle research chemicals safely and lawfully;
- you will comply with all applicable laws, regulations and institutional safety requirements in your handling, storage, use and disposal of the Products; and
- you will not resupply, administer or facilitate the use of any Product in or on a human or animal body.
You accept full responsibility for the safe and lawful use of the Products once they leave our possession. PeptidesX accepts no liability for any use of the Products that breaches this Clause 3.
4. Eligibility
To place an Order you must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract. We may refuse or cancel any Order where we reasonably believe this requirement is not met, or where we have concerns about the intended use of the Products.
5. Orders and Formation of Contract
Product listings on the Website are an invitation to treat and not a binding offer. When you place an Order, you are making an offer to purchase the Products.
We will send an acknowledgement email confirming receipt of your Order. This acknowledgement does not constitute acceptance. A binding Contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email, and only in respect of the Products listed in that confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any Order, in whole or in part, at our discretion — including where a Product is unavailable, where there is an error in pricing or description, where we are unable to authorise payment, or where we have concerns regarding compliance with these Terms. Where we cancel an Order for which you have paid, we will refund the relevant amount.
6. Pricing and Payment
All prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to change prices at any time before your Order is accepted.
Prices may or may not include applicable taxes and delivery charges; the total payable, including any such charges, will be shown at checkout before you confirm your Order.
Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering using one of the payment methods offered on the Website. By submitting payment details you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method concerned. If your payment is declined or reversed, we may cancel the Contract and withhold or recover the Products.
While we make every effort to ensure pricing is accurate, errors may occur. If we identify a pricing error after you place an Order, we will contact you before dispatch to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price, or to cancel.
7. Product Information, Quality and Documentation
We take care to describe our Products accurately. Each batch is subject to HPLC purity testing and identity confirmation, and a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is made available with each order. Where a purity standard is stated (for example, ≥99% HPLC), it refers to the tested batch as documented in the relevant CoA.
Product images, colours and packaging are for illustration only and may differ slightly from the item supplied. Reference to any research findings or scientific literature is provided for information only and does not constitute a claim as to the effect of any Product.
8. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery timescales, methods and charges are set out on our Shipping Information page. Any delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Risk in the Products passes to you on delivery to the address you provide. It is your responsibility to ensure the delivery address is correct and that someone is available to receive the Products, and to store them appropriately on arrival in line with our Storage Guidelines.
We are not liable for delays or failures in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including those of any third-party carrier.
9. Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
Our returns and refunds process is set out in full on our Returns & Refunds page, which forms part of these Terms.
Because our Products are sensitive research materials whose integrity cannot be verified once they leave our controlled environment, we are generally unable to accept returns of opened, used or improperly stored items on health, safety and quality grounds, except where the Product is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
If you believe a Product is faulty or was damaged in transit, please contact us at support@peptidesx.uk within a reasonable period of delivery, with your order number and supporting details, so that we can investigate.
10. Your Responsibilities and Prohibited Uses
You agree that you will not:
- use the Products for any purpose prohibited under Clause 3;
- misuse the Website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or introduce malicious code;
- provide false, inaccurate or misleading information when ordering;
- resell or redistribute the Products in a manner that breaches these Terms or any applicable law; or
- use the Website or Products in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your purchase, import, possession and use of any Product is lawful in your jurisdiction.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website — including text, graphics, logos, images, CoAs, and page layouts — is owned by or licensed to PeptidesX and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own internal, non-commercial reference. You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish or exploit any part of the Website without our prior written consent.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that:
- Our Products are supplied strictly on the Research Use Only basis set out in Clause 3. We accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, injury or harm arising from any use of the Products in or on the human or animal body, or from any use that breaches these Terms.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, or business, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise.
- Our total liability to you in connection with any Contract, however arising, shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Products giving rise to the claim.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PeptidesX, its directors, employees and agents against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Products, or any use of the Products contrary to Clause 3.
14. Data Protection and Privacy
We handle your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Details of what we collect, how we use it, and your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
15. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, carrier delays, failure of supply chains, or interruptions to power or communications networks.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our Products, or the law. The version in force is the one published on the Website at the time you place your Order. We recommend you review this page before each purchase.
17. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be treated as a waiver of that right or provision.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any Contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
