About Our Peptides
What are research peptides?
Oligopeptide chains made up of amino acids, normally 2-50 amino acids in length and act as biological signaling agents. Peptides can be used in a lab setting for things such as cellular mechanics, binding, protein production, and metabolism. Products from PeptidesX are for in vitro and lab use only. Peptides should not be taken by humans or animals for health reasons.
What purity are your peptides?
All stated compounds have been independently validated by HPLC as 99%+ pure. Product purity is listed with a batch number not a generic number and identity is confirmed via MS-UPLC mass spectrometry.
How are your peptides tested?
Batches are checked six times before being listed, including supplier reliability check, batch intake and receipt, HPLC testing by independent ISO 17025 accredited lab, MS-UPLC identity confirmation, endotoxin and heavy metal testing, before a CoA is produced.
Do you self-certify your testing?
No. No self-certified products are available here. Our samples are always sent to an independent, third-party laboratory before they are received by you.
Where are your peptides manufactured?
Only products from a compliant facility meeting current cGMP standards will be considered. The supplier must also be an FDA registered entity, adhering to ISO 9001 before product candidates can be taken on.
How should research peptides be stored?
Lyophilised product is usually stored in the dark at cold temperatures. Recommended storage may change on reconstitution depending on the lab work being carried out.
Certificate of Analysis (CoA)
Does every order come with a Certificate of Analysis?
Yes. An individual Certificate of Analysis providing precise HPLC purity information and MS-UPLC identity verification will be sent out with all orders. We do not use recycled CoA's and yours is unique to the batch being supplied.
Can I see a Certificate of Analysis before ordering?
Yes. You can request a sample CoA via the contact us page, which we will be pleased to send to you.
What information is on the Certificate of Analysis?
Generally, all CoA's include the following: Batch Code, HPLC purity (area%), MS-UPLC identity check, molecular formula and weight, CAS no. LAL testing and quantity of peptide.
