Our Commitment to Quality
Quality is at the heart of everything we do at PeptidesX. As researchers ourselves, we recognise that the success of any project hinges on using compounds with verified quality and reliability. Using a substandard peptide could jeopardise experiment results, cause delays and waste precious lab time, and even discredit the project completely.
That is why every research peptide we sell is subjected to comprehensive analysis. Our suppliers are reliable, but our policy is not to simply take their word for it. Each batch is verified independently through accredited laboratories using recognised methods to confirm that what is listed on the label corresponds exactly with the contents of the vial.
Our dedication to openness ensures that documentation is provided for all compounds sold by PeptidesX. It is important for researchers to be absolutely certain of the products they are purchasing.
Analytical Testing Methods
All peptides offered by PeptidesX have been analysed using the best-established analytical procedures in the field of peptide science.
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
HPLC is the gold standard technique for peptide purity determination. The process of separating all components of a given sample and calculating the concentration of each component allows us to confirm that the purity of all peptides is no less than 99%. All compounds go through HPLC analysis before being made available for order.
Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS)
LC-MS is used to verify compound identity. The combination of the separation capability of liquid chromatography and the precision of mass spectrometry allows us to confirm that the peptide sequence and molecular weight match exactly those of the intended compound.
Together, these two analytical techniques guarantee the identity and purity of all samples we supply.
Independent Third-Party Verification
We do not conduct testing internally and present the results as independent verification. All analytical testing is performed by accredited third-party laboratories that have no financial relationship with PeptidesX.
This ensures researchers receive a genuinely neutral test result — free from any conflict of interest between the laboratory conducting the test and us as the supplier. It is the standard we believe all research peptide sellers should maintain, and we have no exceptions to this rule.
Certificates of Analysis
Every product purchased from PeptidesX ships with a corresponding Certificate of Analysis (CoA). A CoA is batch-specific and includes the following information:
- Name and batch number of the compound
- The analytical technique used and accredited laboratory details
- The purity value expressed as a percentage
- Compound identity confirmation via mass spectrometry
- Physical description of the compound
- Test date and laboratory sign-off
Having a batch-specific CoA means there is complete traceability from manufacture through to delivery. The batch number on each vial always corresponds to a specific CoA for that batch — we never supply generic product-level certificates.
To request a Certificate of Analysis for any specific batch or product, contact our team at research@peptidesx.uk.
Batch Consistency
Reproducibility is among the most critical requirements in scientific investigation. Differences in batch-to-batch variation in a compound can introduce uncontrolled variables that affect the validity of experimental findings.
PeptidesX ensures that all products pass through stringent quality control protocols to guarantee consistency from one batch to the next. When batch changes occur, we inform customers and provide updated Certificates of Analysis.
Manufacturing and Handling Standards
All research peptides available at PeptidesX are manufactured by partners operating within controlled laboratory settings. Our manufacturing partners follow guidelines that govern peptide synthesis, purification, and lyophilisation to consistent standards.
After receipt, compounds are stored in a temperature-controlled environment before shipping in order to maintain integrity and stability. All products are packaged in ways that guarantee compound stability during transit.
We never source from unknown or unverified manufacturers. Every supply relationship is established through a formal audit process that verifies cGMP certification, FDA registration, and ISO credentials before a single order is placed.
What ≥99% Purity Means for Your Research
A purity level of ≥99% means that no less than 99% of the tested material is the target compound. The remaining ≤1% may include impurities, degradation products, or related substances — all quantified and documented in the CoA.
This level is universally recognised as the gold standard for research-grade peptides used in controlled laboratory conditions. Using lower-purity compounds introduces problems:
- Undefined impurities can cause unpredictable interactions within test systems
- Variable purity between batches makes experimental results non-reproducible
- Unknown co-eluting compounds can mask or amplify the effects of the target compound
- Low-purity material may fail to produce detectable results at expected concentrations
By supplying only compounds confirmed at ≥99% purity, PeptidesX ensures you maintain control over all experimental variables.
